Testimonials

“When Christy First Started working with us about 3 years ago I was looking for support to build leadership capacity and team collaboration.  I really wanted my teachers to build leadership capacity in their teams, but I needed guidance in how to go about it.  In the beginning many teachers did not see the value of collaboration or how it would help improve their teaching or student learning.  Through her coaching, Christy modeled collaboration with my leadership team and me; we learned from that experience and took it to our professional learning teams.  She keeps us focused on our S.M.A.R.T. Goal; aligning our development activities around that one goal has energized everyone.  We have moved faster and are a lot farther along in meeting our goal because of Christy’s coaching.  I couldn’t be more pleased with how teachers are now embracing the team collaboration process.  Thy are initiating their own team goal-setting and data analysis activities without prompting.  It is very amazing to see this happen.  I was so excited that our leadership team wanted to continue working with Christy; it came from them, not just me.  This has been a great journey.”

“Being new to the [school] building this year as the principal, I was looking forward to Christy helping my team and me develop a solid understanding of where we were as a school and where we wanted to go — to clarify our vision and develop a path to achieve it.  I was unclear as to what this coaching would look like at the beginning, and I had no idea where it would lead us. But I was really looking forward to it. This process has helped me to keep very focused on keeping the main thing the main thing. With each coaching session, I get so much clarity.  Because of that I have a real focus in leading my staff.  As a result, I am seeing that staff are becoming much more skilled at collaborating in teams, and they are also more open to change so that we can improve our teaching and student learning.  The team collaboration process has really helped to create leadership on my teams. I know I will never want to lead by myself. The power comes from that collective voice generated from teamwork.  Overall, I am very glad I did this.  It has been a powerful experience.”

“Honestly, I was a bit skeptical that this coaching would work.  But as a new leader, I really felt I could use some support.  I had experienced coaching [from another coach] in a different job, and it wasn’t as productive as I had hoped it would be.  With Christy, though, I always feel like we get so much done in a very short amount of time.  Christy’s reflective questions and ideas keep our team on-task without losing the team’s energy or voice.  And the results belong to us — it is our voice that comes through. My leadership team is now able to embrace change with more openness and excitement.  We have built a strong sense of trust on my team as a result, and I see that change is not scaring my people as I once thought it would. What I am really excited about is that my all of my teams have become much more self-directed.  People are now more empowered to take initiative to suggest new ideas and try new things to improve what we do. The staff buy-in for our team process has increased to 75% since working with Christy.  We started with about 25% team buy-in a year ago, so this is quite a shift. As a new leader, I now have more confidence that I can lead people toward change and a vision.  Being able to actually lead people through a change process has been very empowering for me.”

“Christy was a huge reason for the success of my non profit it when it was in its initial design phase. She was so critical to helping me map out my goals, creating a solid strategy to reach those goals and serving as an accountability manager for me that I had to hire her later in my life for other work as well as purchase her services to give as a much needed gift for a dear friend. Christy’s open heart and compassion give her a special gift to helping her clients reach their potential. She is sensitive, highly creative and innovative as she inspires the best to come out of you. I have had huge changes in my life from her guidance and support and the life of my friend has completely changed which has resulted in no more debt, ready to graduate from college and looking forward to a promising career. When you hire Christy, she will be around your life for a long time. It is my current wish that one day I will be able to give her services out to friends each year as a special gift for a new beginning.”

“I anxiously awaited my results of the Energy Leadership Assessment!  Christy established a safe and trusting environment before we started.  I was amazed at how much information I was able to absorb and understand about myself.  The questions she asked gave me a sense of what I should start to think through to focus on some personal issues.  In a short time, Christy had me thinking about how I could move forward with making positive changes resulting in higher energy in my daily life.  I couldn’t wait to start my next coaching session with her; knowing she would keep me accountable to moving important aspects of my life forward.   I definitely had more energy after only one session with Christy!”

“Christy has provided our staff with excellent coaching and training. It feels as though she is part of our team, even though she only works with us a few days out of the year. Her work with our team is evident long after she has left.”
